How To Completely Miss An Alien Invasion

Those of you that have read Star.Ships or even just stuck around the blog for long enough will be aware that I consider the general AAT (ancient aliens theory) to be a dramatic oversimplification mired in a crude, materialist paradigm.

Which isn’t to say there aren’t people on earth who subscribe to it. Probably some pretty powerful people.

  • Emerging possibly as a result of the nineteenth century flourishing of mysticism and science fiction, the belief that humans would find either existing or dead civilisations within the solar system was considered essentially normal -essentially ‘good science’- prior to the twentieth century space race.
  • That actual space race turned out to be an hilarious fruit storm of lies, disinformation and barely-concealed smoking guns.
  • Elite families -particularly the Rockefellers- took a long-term interest in AAT and crop circles and all sorts of things -going so far as to probably directly fund Sitchin himself.
  • We know that the looting of the Baghdad Museum was initially done by people who clearly went in with a very specific shopping list. We may presume similar things have happened as the Pentagon/Saudi’s proxy armies have swept through the former Babylonian lands in recent years if the flood of antiquities into the black market is anything to go by. (Recall the story from my friend who worked on an Emirati super yacht and the pride of place certain clay tablets received among the on board art collection.)

Now consider the on-again-off-again world tour of that 3D-printed ‘Baal Gate’, its sources of funding and its alleged mission to ‘something something raise awareness something something culture something something anyway here’s a disappointing and inaccurately described lump of rock’.

At this point in time, it is worth revisiting the podcast episode where Chris and I discuss a hypothetical elite belief system based on what we might call a modified Sitchianity.

The curious architectural projects of these despotic Gulf kingdoms look a lot less wackadoo when you realise there is simply no way these cartoon villains subscribe to the same Dark Age belief system they mandate for the unhappy citizens of their totalitarian regimes. I’d wager the government-funded clerics who spew the official nonsense only believe it because they’re paid to.

Which is why I typically find ‘Fortean’ media so rarely lives up to Charles’s name. Such as this piece on the Iraqi transport minister holding a press conference about a 7,000 year old spaceport.

In addition to his statement about an airport built there in 5000 BCE, Finjan also claimed that this was an interstellar spaceport where spaceships were launched on trips to outer space by the Sumerians, the inhabitants of this region during that time period. He also threw in the boasts that all angels are Sumerian and the Sumerians discovered Pluto, which he described as the “twelfth planet.”

The fact that there probably isn’t a 7,000 year old spaceport in Iraq is not the story. The story is that this is actual evidence of some kind of Sitchianity among Middle Eastern elites and that it is believed strongly enough to hold a press conference on the matter.

Such things do not emerge in a vacuum. They emerge from the context as described in the above bullet points and in the discussion Chris and I had on the podcast -which is probably worth a revisit.

In a recent post, I discuss how you don’t actually need a Roswell crash to trigger a near-identical jump in shadow state technology. You only need the idea of one: how might it get here? What is its energy source? And so on.

The same thing holds for evidence of Sitchianity. It does not need to be true to impact overt and covert policy decisions. Particularly in an election year where one candidate -who clearly has a long history with the subject and has received millions in foundation funding from this corner of the world- is dropping gnomic comments about UFOs.

And that’s how you miss an alien invasion. By failing to realise that it doesn’t need to have happened for its gold-mining, nuclear-powered rocket ships blasting off from Nibiru to leave smoking craters upon the earth.
